Sepp Blatter Says He’s Not A Racist, Posts A Picture With His Black Friend To Prove It

Just hours after telling everyone that racism wasn’t a big deal in football and if someone is called something racist on the pitch, they should just man up, shake hands and forget about it, FIFA cash-distributor in chief Sepp Blatter has clarified his statement, saying he’s totally not a racist, and even included a picture of himself hugging a black guy to prove it.

Pictured there with Sepp is South African businessman and former politician Tokyo Sexwale, a former Apartheid political prisoner. So you know if he’s giving Blatter the awkward half-hug for the cameras, he know’s Sepp’s a super cool dude, right?

And in the statement Blatter just released on the FIFA site, he reminds us that nobody’s done more to fight racism. Just ask him.

I have been personally leading this battle against racism in football.

He definitely understands that racism is real and is like, a really bad thing.

I also know that racism unfortunately continues to exist in football, and I have never denied this.

And that’s completely supported by his earlier statements,  like this one lifted entirely at random from his CNN interview:

I would deny it. There is no racism. Maybe one of the players has a word or a gesture which is not the correct one, but the one who is effected by that, he should say that “this is a game.”

Oh.

My comments have been misunderstood.

Well, that clears everything up.

If you want to read Blatter’s full statement, complete with the laughably transparent photo seen above, head over to the FIFA website.
