Here’s a screenshot of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wearing a City home shirt. This is an interesting development for one reason, and troubling one for another. Neither of them have anything to do with oil money or Mario Balotelli.
First, the troubling thing: City blue totally clashes with Packers green and gold. It’s a pigmentation abomination. I really hope Aaron doesn’t mix his Packer gear with his City stuff. That might bring Mr. Blackwell back from the grave.
Second, the interesting thing: while Aaron and his Packers are undefeated (13-0 to this point), threatening to become only the third team in NFL history to pull off a regular season with zero losses, City just came up on the short end of the scoreline for the first time this campaign. We’re guessing this image comes from an interview done before City’s Monday loss to Chelsea, but can’t help but wonder if it might be a jinx for the Packers.
Luckily, Green Bay plays the woeful Chiefs, who just fired their head coach, on Sunday. Bet on them staying undefeated, unlike Rodgers’ English club.
