Ferdinand and Szczesny To Wear Boots Embossed With Their Twitter Handles

As part of Nike’s “Make It Count” campaign, United’s Rio Ferdinand and Arsenal’s Wojciech Szczesny will wear special boots embossed with their respective Twitter handles when Arsenal hosts Manchester United this weekend.

It will be interesting to see if this stunt will actually get either player more followers, or if the camera will actually pick up their handles in the small print on their shoes. If fans do decide to follow Ferdinand and Szczesny, they can look forward to lots and lots of exclamation points.

Meanwhile, at Loftus Road, Joey Barton will forego putting his Twitter handle on his boots and will instead have an entire Sun Tzu quote (in the original Chinese, of course).
