With the release of the NFL regular season schedule, all of the prime-time games have been announced. While there are four teams that lead the league with six prime-time matchups each, there are also four teams that sit at the bottom of the league with zero.

1. Indianapolis Colts
One of the teams that will not have a single prime-time game this season is the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts will likely be a team that continues to rebuild through this season, and they will use 2023 to develop Anthony Richardson who they hope will go on to be their franchise quarterback.
Despite struggling in college, Richardson shot up the team’s draft boards after his incredible performance at the combine. He has everything it takes to be an elite quarterback in the NFL. If he can improve on his accuracy, he could end up being exactly what the Colts need. There is a chance that Richardson could be one of the most exciting players in football this season if he develops properly and quickly adjusts to the NFL.
2. Arizona Cardinals
It makes sense as to why the Arizona Cardinals did not get the nod to have any prime-time games this season. They were one of the worst teams in the league last season, and there is a strong chance that they will be even worse this year.
Kyler Murray is attempting to bounce back from a very serious injury that he suffered last season. As a result of the lengthy recovery process from an ACL tear, he is set to join the team around the midpoint of the season. There is a strong chance that the team may be out of playoff contention at that point of the season as Colt McCoy will be their starting option until Murray returns.
3. Houston Texans
The Houston Texans are another team that likely will continue their rebuild this season. However, like the Colts, if their young players from this year’s draft can develop quickly, they could be a very exciting team to watch. With C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson Jr. as the team’s new cornerstone players on offense and defense respectively, Houston will be putting a lot of faith in their rookies.
As they gave up their first-round pick in the deal to gain Anderson Jr., the Texans do not stand much to gain by tanking this season. If Stroud is able to adjust to the NFL game quickly, the Texans could make a real run in the AFC South, however, they have a very rough receiving core and a vast amount of holes in the roster.
4. Atlanta Falcons
The final team that does not have any prime-time games in the 2023 season is the Atlanta Falcons. While the Falcons are not set to be one of the most exciting teams to watch this season, they may end up being a solid team. They currently have the second-best odds to win the NFC South behind only the New Orleans Saints.
If Desmond Ridder is able to take a big step up this season after having a very rough showing in his rookie year, it could be the deciding factor in the Falcons making the playoffs. Their rushing attack will be one of the scariest in the league, however, if Ridder is not able to get it going through the air, they will still be a very easy team to game plan against.
