The Buffalo Bills have begun to further bulk up their offense in free agency. They made a move to bring wide receiver Devonte Harty to the team on a two-year $13.5 million deal with $5 million guaranteed.
Since the emergence of Josh Allen as one of the top quarterbacks in the league, the Bills have put a strong emphasis on being a pass-first offense. As a result of this, it has become essential that they keep a plethora of talented receivers on the roster.
Harty has only spent four seasons in the league and has not put up the most mind-boggling stats yet. Through his four seasons with the New Orleans Saints, he has amassed 64 receptions for 793 yards and four touchdowns. Along with this, he can be an impact player on special teams as a return man. In 77 career punt returns, he has amassed 752 yards and one touchdown. Finally, on 75 career kick returns, he has run for 1907 yards and zero touchdowns.
While this may not seem like the most exciting signing on paper, Harty could have a breakout season as a member of the Bills’ offensive scheme.
