Super Bowl Favorites
Heading into the 2023 season, there are a handful of teams with a very solid shot of making the Super Bowl. Currently, the odds on the favorite to appear in the game is the Kansas City Chiefs. Last season, the Chiefs took down the Philadelphia Eagles by a final score of 38-35. With Kansas City running it back with nearly the same roster, there is a strong chance that they can once again run through the AFC. With Patrick Mahomes playing some of the best football of his career, the Chiefs will be a very tough team to stop.
The Philadelphia Eagles currently have the second-best odds of making the Super Bowl. Last season, they came just short of winning the biggest game of the year, however, they would fall just short in the second half. Despite this, they are coming back with another very talented and well-rounded roster. If Jalen Hurts is able to make another big jump in the 2023 season, it could be enough for Philadelphia to win it all.
The team with the third-best odds of making the Super Bowl is the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have been contenders for the past few years, however, they have been unable to pull things together in the postseason. However, they still have an immense amount of talent on both sides of the ball. If things break their way in the playoffs, they are more than deserving of a Super Bowl spot.
Recent Host Cities
Last season, the Super Bowl was hosted in State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals. This would be the third time that the Cardinals would host the Super Bowl, with the two other occurrences happening in 2008 and 2015. Along with this, State Farm Stadium was also the home of the 2015 Pro Bowl.
In 2021, the Super Bowl took place in SoFi stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams. This was one of the few times in Super Bowl history that a team participating in the game would have home field advantage. Los Angeles would put on a show in front of their home crowd and end the game with a Super Bowl victory by a final score of 23-20 over the Cincinnati Bengals.
The 2020 Super Bowl was played in Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Once again, the host team would get the privilege of playing in their home stadium. The Buccanneers would get the best of the Kansas City Chiefs in a dominant 31-9 win.
