Despite the Grizzlies not making it past the second round of the playoffs in their four years with Jenkins at the helm, it would be unfair to place all of the blame on him. In the 2022-23 season, the Grizzlies were appearing to be well on their way to a deep playoff run.

While the team has a very talented coach under contract in Taylor Jenkins, there is likely a better fit for the team waiting for them. Someone like Doc Rivers could be exactly what the team needs. He has been an NBA lifer, beginning as a player in the league before transitioning into a coach. Rivers has championship experience and is a coach that would be able to get a young team like the Grizzlies in line.
