Kemba Walker, a veteran point guard, has signed a one-year contract with AS Monaco. Monaco plays in both the French LNB Pro A and the EuroLeague.
Walker only played in nine games for the Mavericks as a bench player, with averages of 8.0 points, 2.1 assists, and 1.8 rebounds. His most notable game was on December 17, when he scored 32 points and had seven assists in a 100-99 overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Mavericks released Walker on January 6, 2023.
Throughout his NBA career spanning 12 years, Walker’s average stats include 19.3 points, 5.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.2 steals across 750 regular-season games. He has participated in four NBA All-Star Games and in 2019, he made it to the All-NBA Third Team.
In the 2018-19 season, the player had his best professional performance with the Charlotte Hornets, where he averaged 25.6 points and 5.9 assists per game. He has since played for the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Mavericks starting from the 2019-20 season.
Walker is set to join AS Monaco, a team that recently appeared in EuroLeague’s Final Four for the first time in their franchise’s history.
