Dylan Windler has recently played three games for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Apart from his experience in the NBA, Windler also participated in the G League and maintained an average of 12.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. He showcased an impressive shooting accuracy of 52.3% from the field and 40.7% from three-point range in 11 regular season games, and he also played in one G League playoff game.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that the New York Knicks have agreed to sign a two-way contract with the former Belmont star.
Via Wojnarowski: “Free agent G/F Dylan Windler has agreed on a two-way contract with the New York Knicks, agents Andy Shiffman and Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. Windler was the 26th overall pick to Cleveland in the 2019 NBA Draft.”
The NBA Draft of 2019 saw Windler being selected as the 26th pick, and he has since then played for Cleveland throughout his three-year career. His career statistics show an average of 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, with a shooting percentage of 41.6% from the field and 32.2% from three-point range. Given that Windler is only 26 years old, his signing could prove to be a smart move.
According to Wojnarowski, the Knicks have signed player Mart Windler on a two-way contract. This contract allows him to continue developing in the G League while also getting the opportunity to play in the NBA. The Knicks had a successful season last year, finishing as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference and winning their first-round playoff series against the Cavs.
